On Friday June 5, an exciting new trio with Kristin Berardi, Sean Foran and I will perform at the Brisbane International Jazz Festival alongside the beautiful Tord Gustavsen Quartet from Norway.
This will be our first performance as part of our new project of writing and touring music inspired by themes of ANZAC letters and correspondence. The themes are very charged so it has been a very enriching process exploring handwritten letters, journals and postcards from families and soldiers during the First World War and then trying to respond to and explore some of these themes through music.
