It is my pleasure to be the Director of the QYO Big Band for the fifth year. This ensemble features students between the ages of 16-22 and we had our annual tour in July. Over the course of 6 days we performed 8 concerts and undertook 6 workshops/rehearsals with local musicians and ensembles. It was a very intense schedule but we all had a great time performing to audiences in Bowen, Proserpine, Nebo, Mackay and Moranbah in North Queensland.
