Cows at the Beach is the brainchild of Toby Wren and is a project that combines elements of Carnatic (South Indian) and Jazz music. This concert will feature Toby Wren on Guitar, Tunji Beier on percussion, Dheeraj Shresta on table and myself on saxophone. This lineup recently performed as part of the BEMAC Concert series and it was a super fun gig. The music successfully balances space for improvisation, rich harmonies and complex rhythmic cycles.
