Hope in My Pocket from the new Berardi/Foran/Karlen album has been awarded Jazz Composition of the year at the 2016 Queensland Music Awards which is very exciting. This composition was co-written by Kristin Berardi, Sean Foran and myself and was inspired by correspondence and journals from soldiers and families from the First World War. It was a very involved and rewarding project so I’m glad that the album is doing well. We poured a lot of love into this project. Here is a link to a free download of this track.
